This summer marks a milestone I can hardly believe—10 years since I photographed my very first wedding.
What started in 2015 with a cheap camera, a bit of nerve, and a huge passion for storytelling has grown into a decade of capturing over 200 weddings, thousands of smiles, and countless unforgettable moments. I’m incredibly grateful to every couple who has trusted me with one of the most important days of their lives.

The Journey So Far
Back in 2013 I set up a Photo Booth company with my wife Charlotte called Snapz and we had great fun getting silly pics at proms, birthdays, corporate dinners and of course weddings. I started fooling around with a camera at events and offered a 'walkabout photography' add on to the Photo Booth packages which was an instant hit. At this point I always said I would never photograph a full wedding day, but after photographing lots of night do's and UK receptions I caved in and shot my first full wedding alongside my friend in the summer of 2015 - I was immediately hooked!
When I started shooting wedding photography, my goal was simple: to tell honest stories. I didn’t want stiff poses or forced smiles. I wanted to document real emotion, spontaneous laughter, the nerves before the ceremony, the tears during speeches, and the crazy dance moves after dark.
In those early days, I was still learning the ropes—not just the technical side of photography, but how to blend into a wedding day, how to make people feel comfortable, how to anticipate a fleeting moment and catch it forever.
Since then, I’ve worked in barns and beaches, stately homes and back gardens, across Lincolnshire, Yorkshire, the East Midlands and beyond. Each wedding is different, and I’ve loved every single one.

What I’ve Learned
Over the years, I’ve learned that the best photos are the ones that make people feel something. A stolen glance between newlyweds. A grandparent holding back tears. A child twirling on the dance floor like nobody’s watching. A groom being tossed into orbit. Drunken Bridesmaids going down the aisle on space hoppers.
I’ve also learned the importance of patience, preparation, and a good sense of humour. Weddings are joyful, unpredictable, and beautifully chaotic—and that’s exactly why I love them.

Looking Ahead
As I celebrate this 10-year milestone, I’m not slowing down. I’m continuing to evolve my craft, invest in new gear, and explore new creative ideas. I’ve also found joy in mentoring up-and-coming photographers through my role in education (I'm also a full time teacher), and I’m currently working toward qualifications in Business Management and Leadership to strengthen what I offer behind the scenes..

Thank You
To all the couples who have welcomed me into their lives, even just for a day: thank you. Your trust, kindness, and energy have made this journey what it is.
To those planning their big day now—whether you’re after natural, relaxed photography or just want someone to blend into the background while capturing everything that matters—I’d love to be part of your story.
Here’s to the next 10 years, and all the love still to come.
