Gemma & Arron 19/8/22 Wedding - preview and behind the scenes

What a truly fantastic day

Gemma & Arron were originally scheduled to get Married a couple of years ago but COVID put pay to that. LOTS had changed in that time, including me stepping up from photobooth provider to photographer when their original photographer retired. I'm so pleased that I was chosen as I was treat like part of the family from the very start - it was an absolute honour to have been part of such a special day.

The fun actually started on Wednesday at the rehearsal. Dogs, children and babies didnt want to play ball and an hour and a half later we were still practising walking down the aisle (me, standing in for a bridesmaid) with Arron & Gemma struggling to actually speak the words to their vows!

The rehearsal worked like a dream though, the ceremony went off without any bother (apart from the Bride being called the wrong name by the Vicar) and everyone was in full voice during the hymns.

After some photos it was time for food and speeches. Emotions were high as both the Bride and Grooms fathers were missing from the day, and the tributes to both were beautifully observed.

We got some lovely couple shots at the stunning lake and by the time we returned to Hall Farm, magic man Ian Smith was blowing peoples minds and setting fire to cards - this was followed by the first dance and a delicious hog roast
